| I don't know weather to be happy or sad, I certainly am thankful though! I will be going back to work the day after Thanksgiving (tenatively). I hate to go back to work because I am totally loving being a SAHM, but you've gotta do what you've gotta do right? I'm wanting to start homeschooling the kids next year (long story that I may get into later) and I won't be able to do that financially without working. The thing that bothers me the most is that I am going to be on a terrible shift starting out and I'm not going to get to see my kids too much and I just know what a toll it is going to take on them and me and Paul for that matter! Uggghhh! I've worked a lot in their short lives but I've always had a good shift that didn't interefer too much with me being a Mommy! I just keep telling myself that this shift is absolutely temporary! With all that said I am truly thankful for being able to work and finding a good paying job with excellent benefits...makes me feel guilty for even complaining! Anyway...I hope that I am doing the right thing! Dylan told me the day of my second interview "I don't want you to go to work Mommy cuz I'll never get to see you but I hope that you do good at your interview" is that not the SWEETEST thing!  Another problem is that they are starting basketball (well Taylor will be cheerleading thanks to a mixup at registration) and I don't know when the games will be...I so hope that I am going to be able to make them! I'm thinking that all the games are going to be Saturday games so hopefully I can get Saturdays off. Well...I realize that I am totally rambling so I'm gonna cut myself off here! LOL! | | |

| Well...the kids go back to school tomorrow. I don't know weather to be happy or sad...lol! No really...I dread them going back. They had a pretty good time over the fall break. They spent a lot of time playing outside which is exactly what they needed to do before it gets too cold. I went through clothes today trying to get everything orgainzed and put away since I finally got my dressers. I got a new living room suite also, so I was able to return the one I was renting from rent-to-own. They were supposed to be here to pick it up Saturday but never showed. I am going to have them take my washer and dryer while they are here too. I am going Wed to get one from Lowe's. Well...a week off from school and this is all the excitement I can muster! lol! | | |
| Another day of sleeping for Dylan!  My poor baby! Dad came over yesterday and we sat out on the porch and had a good visit. I feel so sorry for him because he is so depressed. A couple of weeks ago while serving on jury duty he sat on a case. It was an old woman and her 2 sons who Dad said seemed to be slow. They didn't seem to really know what was going on. Anyway...the story is this...they lived in apartment where the landlord had been trying to evict them for 6 months. The apartment was NASTY...Dad said feces smeared on the walls, just REALLY bad. The people in adjoining apartments couldn't even run their air or open their windows because of the stinch. So, the decision was weather the woman had a right to evict them or not. I would think that she would CLEARLY have the right and I really couldn't believe that it actually went to court and that it had taken so long for her to get them out, however there was one woman on the jury who kept refusing to put that old woman (she was in her 70's) out on the streets, she said that she just couldn't do it. My Dad eventually talked her into voting to have them evicted but she was not happy about it. The other day my Dad found out that the 70 something year old woman died...she had been living in her truck and was just too old to handle it. He was really down, he said I may as well shot her in the head. I of course did all I could to try to make him feel better. We talked about it for quite some time and while I know it certainly isn't his fault that he she is dead I can really see why he feels so bad. Legally it was the right thing to do...but Morally it wasn't. Of course he really didn't think that she would actually end up on the streets. I think that the system failed her, she obviously was not able to take care of herself. Oh well...it is just a bad situation. I would be interested in hearing anyone's thoughts on this. | | |
